Adam Vassar, a lead consultant at TALX and a trained psychologist, discusses the three critical questions for employers to ask before administering pre-employment tests.
The event covers: first, how to chose a test, as well as where it should fit in the hiring funnel and how to administer the test; second, the types of validation studies most effective in choosing a “passing” score, and how both of these initial steps can be combined to insure that a testing program is legally defensible. Vassar also explains methods for determining job-relatedness of potential tests and why the “Multi-Method” approach to the hiring funnel is preferable.
